Our Story
How we bridged the gap between science and the workshop

EDEL Engineering wasn’t founded as another generic bureau for CAD drafting and cheap engineering hours. We were founded in 2017 with a clear, uncompromising vision: to bridge the deep gap that exists in modern mechanical engineering between advanced academic knowledge and the harsh, real-world operational demands of heavy industry and automation.

Our path began at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, University of Belgrade. As young researchers and PhD candidates specializing in dynamics, vibro-diagnostics and the structural integrity of complex systems, we saw European companies absorbing heavy losses because their engineering processes relied too often on trial and error. We realized the market didn’t need more draftsmen — it needed an external engineering “brain” that develops, optimizes, and takes full technical, moral and safety responsibility for the most complex mechanical systems.

Over nine years in business, EDEL has evolved from a CAD-support service model into a multidisciplinary R&D and production center. Today we cover a product’s complete development cycle: from initial concept and high-fidelity numerical simulation, through dedicated test methods and agile prototyping, to final physical validation and contract series production.

Doctoral-Level Simulation
Our work doesn’t rest on assumptions. Nonlinear contact, structural dynamics, stability and fatigue analysis are run using advanced engineering software at doctoral level, identifying critical stress and resonance points before your machine reaches production — cutting failure rates and development cost.
Engineering Validation
We don’t push paperwork — our role starts where theory and software reach their limits. We develop dedicated in-house test methodologies and run complete validation processes, carrying full technical responsibility for your concept in front of certification bodies against ASME and EN standards.
Physical Validation
A software report is only a starting point. EDEL owns its own capacity for physical and laboratory testing — dedicated in-house test rigs measuring real structural behavior, down to permanent deformation and failure, with 20+ sensors giving you irrefutable empirical proof of load capacity and safety.
Operational Synergy
EDEL & GasIntel

Engineering that becomes physical hardware, on the spot. The biggest weakness of traditional engineering firms is their isolation from actual production — we solved that through vertical integration and a strategic ownership partnership with GasIntel.

Through this deep operational and infrastructural link, EDEL has direct, immediate access to a modern, top-tier machine park. Our shared production base includes:

  • Waterjet cutting— cold-cutting of the most demanding materials (steel, titanium, composites) with no thermal deformation and maximum precision.
  • CNC press brakes— computer-guided sheet bending with high repeatability for complex geometries.
  • Complex assembly & welding— certified fabrication work and turn-key integration of mechatronics, pneumatics and automation.

This infrastructure gives us unmatched operational agility. When we develop a prototype (MVP) or run supervisory engineering for series production, we validate, correct and test our solutions in real time inside our own ecosystem — instead of waiting on external suppliers, EDEL engineers implement every design change directly on the shop floor.

Co-Founder & Director
Ivan Milenović
PhD candidate at the University of Belgrade, specializing in dynamics, vibro-diagnostics and advanced nonlinear FEM simulation of mining and transport machinery. With 10+ years leading complex industrial projects, Ivan solves the most demanding structural challenges and takes clients from concept to final delivery.
Co-Founder & Chief Engineer
Marko Urošević
PhD candidate in mechanical engineering, focused on structural mechanics, transport machinery and automated systems. Marko leads engineering teams and keeps design and the factory floor in sync, so every drawing that leaves our office guarantees precise, cost-effective manufacturing.
Partner (GasIntel) & Senior Researcher
Dr Ivan Lazović
PhD in thermal engineering and active research associate at the Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences. Ivan is the key strategic and operational link between EDEL and the GasIntel production base, covering advanced thermal-flow analysis, heat transfer and thermal-energy and process installations.
Senior Engineer
Dr Aleksandar Milovanović
PhD in mechanical engineering with extensive hands-on experience designing and inspecting large-scale process systems in the energy sector. Aleksandar is a leading authority on pressure vessels, piping, seismic-impact analysis and equipment compliance with the strictest global ASME and EN codes.
